Pokemon Team Rocket Jessie & James Edition is a non-profit, fan-made Pokemon game based on Pokemon FireRed, created by MrNightology. Unlike typical Emerald or FireRed hacks, this game offers a completely unique way to play.

For the first time, you take on the role of James, alongside Jessie and Meowth—the iconic Team Rocket trio and fan-favorite villains from the Pokemon anime.

Your mission isn’t to become the greatest Pokemon Trainer—it’s the opposite. You’ll steal Pokemon, snatch items, and face off against rival villain teams like Team Aqua to keep Team Rocket on top. Watch out for Officer Jenny and the Pokemon Police, who are always on your tail.

It’s the classic Pokemon formula flipped on its head—if you’re looking for a completely different gameplay experience, this is the one to dive into.

Initial Plot of the Game

The story begins in the Hoenn Region, where Jessie, James, and Meowth are plotting their next big plan to steal Pikachu from Ash. Just as they’re scheming, a Torchic suddenly appears—it belongs to May, who’s traveling with Ash and Brock. Thinking their luck has finally turned, they launch an attack, but as always, Pikachu blasts them off once again.

This time, after crash-landing and regaining their composure, a Delibird arrives with a letter from Giovanni. The boss orders them to return to Kanto and put the Pikachu chase on hold to focus on new missions.

Obeying Giovanni, the trio heads back to Kanto. Their first assignment is to deal with Team Aqua grunts, who have started meddling in Team Rocket territory. From there, the story unfolds through a series of missions: stealing rare Pokemon and items, exploring different regions, battling rival teams, and carrying out Giovanni’s plans. Expect plenty of classic Team Rocket antics, but this time, you’re the one calling the shots.
